ACLEDA-Jardine Educational Foundation Obtained Fund From Prudential Cambodia

Phnom Penh, February 9, 2023 - ACLEDA–Jardines Educational Foundation (AJF) as the first Social Trust in Cambodia announced that Prudential (Cambodia) Life Assurance PLC donated USD20,000 to AJF for participating in two school buildings projects are Sambourmeas primary school in Oddar Meanchey and Chouk Chey primary school in Preah Vihear.

(AJF) has been operating social and humanity activities from since June 2018. Currently, AJF invested USD570,000 for building 08 primary school buildings of which 3 school buildings in Oddar Meanchey, 2 school buildings in Preah Vihear, 1 school building in Ratanakiri, 1 school building in Mondulkiri and 1 school building in Steung Treng. There were more than 1,000 students were enrolled and studying at these 08 school buildings. These school buildings have been building in accordance with the design approved by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport with 5 classrooms per building including washroom facilities. In this 2023, AJF is starting to construct 3 more primary school buildings including Kampong Pho primary school in Preah Vihear, Thnal Dach primary school in Oddar Meanchey, and Banteay Choar primary school in Oddar Meanchey.

The trust and support from corporates will help us mobilizing more funds enabling us to build more school buildings for children in remote and impoverished areas to obtain at least a basic education to improve the quality of life for themselves, their family and their community" said Dr. Visoth Prom, Chairman of ACLEDA Jardine Educational Foundation.
